And when Our clear verses are explained to them, their argument is nothing except saying: “Bring back our forefathers if you are truthful.”
The Fujjar—the Kuffar—who are reading in Arabic Qur’an the verses mentioning about resurrection, reckoning, Hell, and punishment in Hell, if warned with Adhikr, will turn back arrogantly as if there is a lid in their ears to avoid hearing the warning, as explained in verses 45: 7-9, and they consider Adhikr as tales of the ancestors as explained in verse 6: 25. These Fujjar whose ledger is in Sijjeen of Hell as explained in verse 83: 7 can’t register their deeds in Illiyyeen, the ledger in Paradise, as explained in verse 83: 18, since the doors of Heaven won’t be opened to them until a camel passes through the eye of a tailor’s needle as explained in verse 7: 40. They will be summoned into Hell, dragged prone on their faces as deaf, dumb, and blind as explained in verses 2: 18; 17: 97-98; and 25: 34. See explanation 17: 49-51; 36: 31-32; and 44: 34-37.
